To now this!! I still need to add lining to the jacket and finish the frogs, and still haven't had a chance yet to line the skirt but I will. It's almost done---I can smell the finish line!!

This is the new and improved jacket lining! I kept the top stitching in place, but I also added a new facing.

Tbolt, my Sideshow buddies couldn't wait for me to step into the 1/6 world, and I have dabbled at it, but it's amazingly easier than Mego scale. This is my second costume in 1/6, and I don't have any more planned, because I've got a long list on my Mego to-do list.
Her new swing coat is made from a 100% wool jacket that I got from a thrift store. The lining for her jacket's hood I cut out from one of my children's vests (shhh....don't tell my mom).

Should I remove the top stitching I put in the lining? Is that overkill?

You should have seen my husband's face when he and his guests stepped out the front door and there I was crouched on the ground photographing! It was funny...like he was shocked I would be doing this in public! The person I am making the outfit for requested a change in the lining (maroon over the pink instead of pink over the maroon), so I am currently processing mentally how to go about it. I think I know what to do. It aint going to be pretty...but I have to recut a facing and resew this to the top and side edges of the jacket right side facing, and then turn inside out...and once that is accomplished, sew down the lining underneath that.

Don, I have also made one for 8" scale, but I need to re-do the jacket because the velvet flock material I used was too thick for the scale and overwhelms the figure, especially the hood. I have discovered that the Mego female body has such strange proportions...their shoulders are impossibly narrow and the hips are unexpectedly wide!!
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn102/apecityoutfitters/IMG_1315.jpg. Also, I have a better Zira head now.
I think I have found the correct fabric for the swing jacket to complete the outfit but my to-do list seems to be growing by the week...
