*** MEGO BATMAN 8" ACTION FIGURE MOC 1979 *** - eBay (item 150232022541 end time Apr-07-08 15:05:00 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/MEGO-BATMAN-8-ACTION-FIGURE-MOC-1979_W0QQitemZ150232022541QQihZ005QQcategoryZ1169Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

It's nice condition, but at $540 at the time of posting, isn't that twice the normal rate?

It's not some rare card is it?

I was wondering the same thing...could it be that it's in such nice condition and that two people have tax money burning a hole in their pocket?

It's a nice example that's for sure. I'm not sure if this is a rarer than average card though.

Looks to be two bidders have a pi**ing contest :)

Having said that it is super nice! When I saw it yesterday I went straight to my "Benjamin's" to see if I was missing something, but it doesn't appear to have either a cloth emblem or vinyl cape so apart from condition I don't think it's a necessarily HTF card.

See? World's Greatest Toys is the book that keeps on giving!

Cheers,
Will

Those 79 cards can be VERY valuable(depending on the character) to a bidder who is specifically seeking them out to round out all of his packaging variations. Some of those are hard to come by!
