I was just looking at completed auctions for queen CDs and was suprised to see that the empty old long boxes where going for about $10 each. One for the Jazz CD went for $23. This is nuts to me even more so seeing that I have all my old long boxes (probibly a couple 100).:juggleyes_y:
I may have to go get them out of storage and sell them off.

That's cool, I kept a lot of my old long boxes hoping that they would be worth something some day (as I assumed that the vast majority of people threw them out). After hanging onto them for over 20 years, I may finally have a payday. :smiley1:

I think the reason for people wanting the old Longboxes is for the artwork...and some collectors are a little anal when it comes to collecting and HAVE to have it in the original box that it came with. I have some Beatles Longboxes but I cut them up and plan on making new cover art for CD's out of some of them.

Man, I almost forgot about longboxes. I was in college when I switched to CD's, and I used to cut the face off them and use them on the dorm room walls, kind of like a wallpaper border.
