MarcelloD's 3D printed heads and items thread

So I wanted to make a thread to show off some of my custom work done with the help of 3D printers.
I already showed off some bits and pieces here and there in other threads. Figured it would be better to keep it all organized.

A lot of the work starts off like this before it can be printed. Once I realized the exact size of a mego head I was able to plug that in into a 3D printer to get the correct size. I had originally tried getting the heads out with lower quality printer while my "nicer" printer was out of commission. However, I had it repaired and it came out looking like this.


Next, I tried another design.


And I ended up with this:





Pretty excited with the results. I am not the best at painting but the quality is great. I am sure someone who is much more talented could do a spectacular job with a decent paint job. I made a mold of it and made a few resin heads. Shameless plug: ill start selling both heads at some point soon on EBay along with some others I am working on (Ant Man helmet and some Game of Thrones characters.)

Would love to get some feedback or comments.

Throw me some ideas.

I am always working on stuff. Found a Starlord mask I am trying to shrink down to fit a mego figure. I work with a designer here and there who helps out a lot.

Hey Marcello! Do you think you could possibly do a Tom Hiddleston/Loki head in 1:9 scale? From the first 'Thor' movie, not the 'Avengers Assemble' first movie.

This is one of my grails: A Steve Ditko head to go with my Stan and Jack. Some new pix of him came online recently but I just don't have the sculpting down enough to make one.

I would like an Alex Summers as Havok from his first costume with the funky head piece. Ringleader from the circus of crime with his top hat. The Wizard from the Frightful Four. Those three right off the top of my head I can think of that I would like to have.
