Custom 18" remego?

I would like to start customizing a line of the 18" figures. Any idea how to apprach making a head that size?

Hydrospan 100. I've been planning some customs myself. I don't like the hands they used, and would like to enlarge the regular style hand. I'm not sure why they enlarged the 12 inch hand that didn't look like the 8 inch ones. There are 12 inch hands that do match...

I figure one expansion should do it, from a twelve inch head. Maybe two from an eight inch head, three at the most.

Are you going to use the FTC bodies? I wish I could get one for less than $100.
