i present you with some bootleg, or as i know you guys like to say knock off mego 12" super heroes
i didnt know if to post this in mego likes or not ? anyways click away
mego bootleg knockoff 12" dolls actual mego clothes on eBay, also, Mego, Action Figures, Toys Games (end time 06-Apr-08 23:29:02 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320235018308)
Pretty neat, but a word of advice......
Edit the "bootleg" name off of the title........
It's a word that eBay looks for.
"Knockoff" if fine-- so far--
But Bootleg is a sure fire way to get your auction ended. imo.

that's some pretty cool stuff brother. first time I've seen those guys for sure and in fine condition I might add. did you pick these up in the UK? anyhoot - the "mystery" figure is a blast and a half. many here would love to think it was a Logan but I'll go out on a limb and say it was a Siegried & Roy doll. Nice stuff nonetheless.

So are these valued at 100 Bucks a Piece ?
I think they are Great,.. But didn't know they went that high. These are KnockOffs Right ? .Is 100 Bucks the average Price for one ? Just curious.
I saw these on eBay a couple of weeks ago, but the seller suddenly ended the auction, I guess that was you. The price then wasn't nearly as high as it is now. And I really doubt you'll get this much for it, sorry man
Apr 2, '08, 3:25 AM
yup it was my auction you spotted
ended the auction because i had started a private bidding war via emails
:licklips: cant blame me with the ebay fees these days
the dolls sold for just under $400 to a private buyer
i figured id let the market place determine the mark up these things may run to
like i said id be happy to listen to sensible offers, and i have a few spare characters, nothing thats going to flood the market dont worry but ive bills to pay too
you know how it goes, you get a few into a bidding frenzy and it miller time
i always belived a toy is only worth what someone wants to pay for it, but if you want 1 for $10 i have the right to refuse heheheh :policeman:
Apr 2, '08, 3:28 AM
+ thats why i asked how are my prices?
who knows what a set of mint in packing clothing should fetch ?
agreed the packing is not mego which is a real let down, but they do have some novelty quality to them
a real mego doll you wouldnt open, but you could these.
Apr 2, '08, 9:15 AM
Were these figures sold in the UK or US?
Apr 2, '08, 9:50 AM
At one time I could see these going for this price but a few sets have appeared since then and their value is down some since then. Could I get a better pic of that mystery guy?
Apr 2, '08, 10:28 AM
i will upload a new pic asap
also im going to "knockoff" $100
seeing as i can get no love :smiley12:
Apr 2, '08, 1:31 PM
hi palitoy heres a few pics of the black suit guy
the auction by the way is now over as the set has sold
but i have a few limited spares now if anyone is interested i will do my best to keep prices good for mm members or will greedebay them later
the mesterious guy is creating a bit of a stir on the emails... lots of interest. according to the backing card it should be the character face i took a close up of? as all other characters are spoken for and easily reconised, but the character on the back card looks like shazam! but the doll dont resemble him to me, the clothing certainly dont

Looks like a girl suit stretched on a male body.
Apr 2, '08, 2:55 PM
It almost looks like a Johnny West head from the Marx Best of the West series. :juggleyes_y:
Apr 2, '08, 3:00 PM
it is confusing
im wondering if MM wants me to send them pics incase they want to use them on the museum site ?
12 inch Jet jungle
Actually, that's what I was thinking too. Do we have date for these to see if the timeline is correct?
Apr 2, '08, 4:28 PM
Maybe it's suppost to be Flash Gordon ?
Apr 3, '08, 11:15 AM
It looks like "Leftover man", I guess they ran out of Captain Action suits and replaced it with girl's leotards. Everything else is what the Captain Knockoff came with.
