When I seen the initial thread the first thing that came to mind was the Coyote. That car was down right cool. I like watching Hardcastle & McCormick as that was another classic tv show on my list. Thanks for bringing back the good memories. Neat pictures to by the way.

Yes, indeed. Now the seed of thought has been planted kind of like a song being stuck in my head. I must see H&M again. Homer Simpson voice - Must find DVD if it exists and buy it to watch immediately!

The car used in the show was actually a kit car built on a vw beetle chassis. Any engine sounds were dubbed in. I dug that show!

                http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/coyote/

The COYOTE is the car used in the TV series Hardcastle & McCormick. Rolling Thunder is a correct description for this car. It sounds very heavy. The COYOTE was built from a Manta Montage. The base chassis is from VW and the engine is a VW-Porsche 914. It's not a very big motor, but it makes this light-weight car very fast.

The second version of the COYOTE was based on a DeLorean. It was used in
the 2nd and 3rd season of the series.
