Shrinking FTC white sneakers

I need to shrink a pair of white FTC sneakers down to fit their teen female body's feet. Will an acetone dip accomplish this? If so, any recommendations on how long or if it may take multiple dips to reach the desired size (or at least in the ball park)?

Thanks Lonnie, I did read the thread you referenced before I posted my question but I did not find the specific answers I was seeking. Megoknight contacted me privately and gave me a run down on how to shrink the shoes; Approx. 15 min in acetone, then a day out to let shrinkage occur, check for desired amount of shrink, if so, soak in water for 2 hours then wash thoroughly...if not, repeat.
