I had so much fun actually getting to the Friday meet earlier than usual and staying MUCH later. 2:15 - midnight.
I usually don't find enough time to socialize. I think there are several people I still never spoke to this weekend.
When I left home I decided that this would be the first meet that I actually spend money. Last year I bought Chad's shark, but that was it pretty much.
With a $300 budget, I thought maybe I would try to start collecting the new WGSH from mattel and Figures. Then I set up and started sewing repairs for a Lion from Oz. This will not increase his value. -at all. And I talked to a couple people about how I have always had fun piecing Megos back together be it Green Arrow or Ponch. I saw all the pieces parts here and there in the rooms and my plan hit me....
- Reassemble the WGSH from parts.
I decided that I would try to avoid buying complete / near complete figures even if priced low.
I alo would try to keep the average total price low - below $15.
Stick to T2.
I would complete all work there.
I also needed to repair 4 of the WGSH from my personal collection.
Left legs seemed to be my biggest problem. Too many broken knee pins. I tried to stay original but then went to the Doc for repro pins. Alas he had none.
Here is what I have:
15551
I had with me three or four incomplete bodies, tools, a few parts.
In the end I bought 2 figures near complete:
Hulk from Hulk for $20 with two broken elbows. I used a screw and nut from my kit on one. He came with a bread tie in the other.
Mxysptlk was $15 and needed minor repairs. i also bought a $33 of parts from the same fella.
I bought $25 worth of parts from Charlie. $46 ($10 of it was for my personal collection repairs) from Steve. I bought some from David Lee - I think $30. $20 from Michael, $40 from someone else.
