My niece has a Gay Toys pink 1980's style vette. It's in not so great shape, Barbie doesn't drive too well in small cars  Is there much value to these things? I'm thinking about doing a custom with it, but won't if it's a hard to find item.
Thanks

Customize It! Trust me, these aren't that hard to find, and often cost more to ship than to buy. I have more than one Mego Scale Vette awaiting customization. The good thing is they aren't all pink.
....!
Mego scaled Vette....? I remember one from when I was a kid...... Where does a person find these things?

I'm still trying to locate a good plastic 8 inch scale dodge charger or torino looking car for my dukes, and starsky and hutch. Got a nice RC charger that's in scale, but without tearing up the inside, it makes it kinda hard to stick the boys in.

....do it.... DO IT.....! Take a Dremel to that badboy! Gut it, throw in some wooden seats, good to go.

I have a black van that I got at a used store. It has factory made holes in the floorboard and everything. Perfect for my Megos. My lame custom "Ghost Hunters" used it for a while, but I'm trying to find a cooler use for it in my Mego world.
At one point, Hunter Dan was using it with his "hired" girlfriend until my Mego CHiPs busted them.
I'd love to get some more of these plastic Mego compatible vehicles. I've always liked them. I can never find them anymore.

i think the main reason they are so hard to find is number one they were cheap plastic toy cars/vans/jeeps/planes/boats found on an end cap at k-mart with a price tag of 98 cents hence the kids beat the living daylights out of them, i had a few plastic vettes and boats and i beat the heck out of them note the boat never floated and second no one saved them
