can anyone help i'm trying to put an original kirk head back onto an original star trek body how hot does the water have to be and how long do you let it soak.

Ordinary tap water will do it, and it should soak until it feels squishy and malleable. That should take at least two minutes.

I do NOT recommend using a microwave for this.

If you're worried about the water being too hot to touch, put on a pair of dishwashing gloves or stick the head onto a dowel and dip it into the water until it softens.

i did exactly what you said then used a knife to push it in worked perfect .thanks.the problem i have now is getting the outline of a mask off round his eyes i think it's in felt tip.

Use a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.
