This is not really my thing, although passing up Batman is always difficult for me. If it was a removable cowl Batman, I would be all over getting the Batman (price dependent), but the mold mask Batman... eh.

As someone mentioned in another thread, it is interesting to see what Gentle Giant is doing with 18" Kenner Star Wars and now Mattel Marvel Secret Wars and Kenner Super Powers at the 18" scale. FTC might as well try their hand at the 1/4 nostalgia repro market!

I think it is wise to start with the repros. Maybe that will lead to more original offerings or the upscale of, non-Mego repro FTC figures.

It would be fun to put Batman next to the Tonner Batman!

Pretty much what was expected. THese may do well like the other giant sized classics repro lines out there. I'll probably get a Supes for custom fodder if the 18" bodies and heads don't come by themselves on the sister site. I will say a Green Lantern in that scale would be impossible for me to pass on, and if they make a female body that size, Supergirl would be an almost sure buy.

I'm really stoked for these but am hoping they will be affordable.

I'm curious what (if any) licensing retrictions FTC will have with the 18" line with some of the DC characters. For example, there's already an 18" Neca and RM Tonner Batman 66, so will FTC be allowed to make their version as well? And Tonner already have Wonder Woman and Supergirl figures/dolls as well.

I'd prefer more 8 inch figures

I think they are super cool. I don't collect the remade DC figures, but might get the giant Robin figure if the head looks like the prototype. I'd get them all if I could afford them.

I am anxious to see price on 18" DC! Just saw new Sideshow 12" Green Lantern (Hal) is $220! UGH!

I wish FTC could also make 12" DC for only $50 each like FTC 12" Gilligan's Island and Dukes of Hazzard!

Clearly there is a market for this line with what I can see in stores, so I can't blame FTC for tapping into that arena. I think price will be a much bigger player here. If they can keep a competitive ceiling on these, I think allot of people will put their toe in the water for the novelty of it. But it's like anything. With so much to choose from, I believe people can pick and choose now based on the pricing aspect. But I will say it's a fun dilemma to have! Who could have conceived of such a situation just five years ago? This is fun.

Target has a Star Wars Darth Vader Collector Figure (31") for $20.99. It is all plastic except for a cloth cape.

                        Just throwing that out there.

Wow! I was going to pass on these, but I might have to get one just because the box is so awesome!

Nice to see Scarecrow and Bizarro on the box art.

                              Neat!

I paid $80 for the NECA 1966 Batman and Robin and with the price increase, I will pay $99 for Reeves Superman. I think I will splurge for a 18" Mego Batman.

                              Can't collect these though!
