    Box of Mego-likes : I think I got a great deal

Just got these today. A box full of the complete series of Super Knights, Pirates, Western heroes, and the Robin Hood series. Complete cost of 19 figures with shipping - $119.00. That's an average of $6.26 for each boxed figure. I thought that was very cool. I had wanted these figures for a while, but was a little sheepish about paying $14.99 each since I had heard about the various production issues. When I started reading threads about these lines possibly getting closed out, I went looking for a deal and flat lucked out. Here's a snap shot:

Fantastic deal! I picked up the same lot a few months ago. I love them too! I will probably end up swaping the bodies out with Dr Mego bodies in the future.

I was watching that deal online and was very close to picking up one. I think I missed it though. Darn. It is a very good price, and I like the idea about switching to DocMego Bodies.

I take it these are not originals?
Especially since this is posted in the Mego-like section.
So these are not repros of Mego figures? These are toys made by another company that sinply have a Mego-like look?

                    nice!

Looks like a great deal. It appears there are six more of these lots up on ebay from CTVT, if people are still interested.

I've bought them too. Nice to have them in my collection.

That's a pretty good idea. The upper suits fit Doc Mego bodies, but the pants are already too tight on many of the CTVT figures. Try swaping out their Dracula or Wolfman to Doc Mego bodies; it don't work. Merry Men, Knights, and the Western figures pants/leg areas are a problem. Some of them already are trying to bust a seam.

Yeah, I was mordified to discover that when I switched clothes on the repro Wild Bill in favor of the original Mego (which I had but without many clothes or accessories) I had to default back to the CTVT body because the tights were well... too tight. He still looks better though because I still had the original vest and hat from my figure and they fit a hundred times better than the repro one. I had better success switching out the Robin Hood to a Mego body. Everything went on smooth, so I was very pleased with that one.
