I don't think it was ever closed, but Joe has been sick for quite some time now. Best is to PM him to check if he's feeling better

MegoStore.com is a very small business run by yours truly, and as such is totally my responsibility. That said, I've been sick - first with bronchitis then with pneumonia - for the last month, and I've gotten behind on orders.

If your order is still pending, don't worry. It will go out asap! If it says shipped, then it is on the way.

I'm not always as fast at shipping as I'd like, (perhaps that is an understatement) as I strive for, but this bout with sickness has really put me off track, and for that I sincerely apologize. It's not even a good excuse, but it is the reason.

Shouldn't take over a month to arrive once shipped?? Two orders, both say shipped Feb 22nd according to your site? It's now March 27th???

You're in Canada, and it's first class. It shouldn't take that long, but I've had worse, both to and from me. Don't worry, it'll get there.

I am starting to feel better now, and am going to get caught up as soon as I can.

Don't apologise for having Pneumonia and Bronchitis. It isn't like you blew off orders cause you're being lazy. A common cold?? That would be a lame excuse, but I don't think anyone should hold this against you. I have been waiting on an order for a while too (From someone else) and it can be frustrating, but also I'll be that much happier when it arrives, and there is always another project I can start in the mean time.

From a Buddhist philosophical stand point, think of it as a good opportunity to work on patience.

I to have a couple of orders pending for a while due to Joe's recent illness. I am not complaining at all as that is ok with me so long as Joe is doing better. I can sympathize for him. His illness sounded pretty severe. It can happen to anyone of us at any given time. I was never worried at all as I know that he has a good rep and he will come through just as soon as he can. I even sent him an e-mail a while back wishing him well. I have ordered multiple times from the Mego store and I will continue to order more from Joe in the future as I like to patronize those that make a genuine effort to keep the hobby alive. Thanks again Joe. Best wishes on a speedy recover.

I ordered on May 13 and paid via Paypal. Still haven't received the order. I've emailed personally, left message through the store, sent a private message here and filed a complaint via Paypal. No response at all. If you are, in fact, DEAD, please inform your customers and return their money. If you are alive, ship their orders!

So it's not one of the pre-orders that's delayed in China? That's frustrating, I don't know what to tell you.

I appreciate your concern in the matter, however this seems to be an ongoing problem.

I've found many similar situations posted thougout several threads about his "questionable business practices", here. I also see lots of posts that he is a great guy...yadda, yadda, yadda; but I can't help but wonder if he ever makes good with other people who have complained about similar situations.

It's difficult for those of us who have been ignored to keep quiet when we see he posts here, updates his store site and continues to do "business".

Ummm... get it right, he was flirting with the cute hostess, and taking numbers and stuff. Also, he is apparently doing some sidework writing for Penthouse Forum, so he must be busy, and very much alive. :wink_y:

I really dont think it was the cutest ones, And it sounds like only his friends get there stuff in a timely manner. The rest of us just donate money to the store and someday get stuff. Three months, a year later. I am surprised this thread lasted this long.

Well...I got a bug up my b*tt, just over the principal of situation. I'm gonna be a noisy MF until it's resolved.

I keep hearing from others here that, new people always get screwed by Megostore and Mr. Joe, but he deletes their threads and blocks them from using this site to keep it under wraps. Not sure if that's true, but I'm hearing it, so I'm waiting to be deleted.

plaztekman-

What figure did you order? Knowing that would go a long way towards us knowing if your complaint is legitimate or not. As Scott mentioned some are pre-orders and not available yet.

As for what people tell you about how the Museum handles these situations, it's not entirely true, although there are elements of truth in it. There have been complaints about the Megostore that have been removed. There have been plenty more that sit out and never get deleted. Joe himself leaves them there. The ones that get deleted usually contain posts that go beyond stating the problem and get into name calling and childish behavior. Usually, not always. Sometimes they get removed because the situation got resolved. Sometimes they just get pulled because we don't want the museum to become the Megostore complaint department. But more often than not, they sit there forever for all to see and search for. So before you believe what some want to say, consider that.

NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE get's blocked from this site because of a complaint they made against Megostore. Anyone telling you that is full of it. Joe's a big boy and can take care of his own battles. That's not to say you can't or wont get banned because of your behavior in a conflict on this board. You have commented on your situation, and that is totally fine. It can even be viewed as being a responsible member of the collecting community. However, if you cross the line and start constantly hammering this issue all over the boards everyday, well, we call that spamming and we have removed some "noisy MF's" for that.

I'm defending the boards here and the actions of the administration. Not Megostore and the details of your transaction. Some people think the Museum should "do something" about these complaints. We're careful not to step in. It's not our fight and we have no wish to become referees in peoples transaction difficulties. Don't take me wrong. I'm not saying you don't have a legitimate gripe, I don't know the other side of things enough to say either way, I'm just saying don't go blaming the MegoMuseum or making our playground your battleground because you have a beef with another member.

You've stated your side of things. You've informed your fellow collectors of what you feel was a bad transaction. You've done your bit. Everyone's seen it, I'm sure Joe's probably seen it. Now the rest is between the two of you.

Thank you Dave, very well said.

FYI, Joe is travelling today and hasn't seen any of this. He kinda picked the wrong day to be away from his computer.

Well, I agree with you completely, Dave. I've learned that MegoMuseum and the Megostore are not related. I did not know this until today. Joe's profile and store info are quite misleading to a newcomer. I've chatted with several other members who were under the same impression.

Had I known this prior, I would never have brought my complaint to the message boards.

I truly apologize for the inconvenience.

I too have seen complaints about this over time but I don't know, Joe must really like me or something because all of my orders arrived within a two-week timeframe. I never had to wait long.

As I said, posting a bad transaction to inform other members of potential problems dealing with a seller is okay. But it sounded like you were ready for war here, so I just wanted to clear that up.

I just received an email from Joe the other day that my items will be coming this next week. Nothing 'new, yet-to-be-released', just a 1999 body and clothes because SOMEONE here made me a superb Victor Bergman head..

So lets ask Joe why I hear people say I got my order in two weeks and others like my self that wait three months and even a year to get there stuff. If this makes sense to anyone please explain it to me because I am in the dark. I am not talking about pre orders either. I am not trying to ad fuel just wanting to know why? And as for him being sick that was months ago and he looked really healthy at the Meet and that has been months ago. Hmmm.

I have an order that I placed with Joe in February and I still haven't received it. I have sent numerous messages, both through his web site and private messages on this one. I have gotten a couple of responses from him promising he will send the stuff out and throw in "something extra". This was more than a month ago since the last response and no more responses to my messages after that. I am not a complainer by nature, but it is very frustrating to have an order pending for almost half a year and hear that others receive their orders in a timely manner. I sent messages to him asking him to refund my money since it's apparently a big deal to ship the stuff to me and then no hard feelings, I might even do business with him later when he gets his stuff straightened out. Honestly, I just want my money back so I can move on. Joe, if you read this, please PM me and/or Paypal my money back.

Just my 2 cents. Paypalled Joe for a RC Batman 2 weeks ago and I received it within 5 days. Have always been happy with my transactions with him, about 5 years worth of them. Again, just the facts. -Greg

This is why this thread is so dang upsetting, you say you get yours in a timely manor and most say not. If you were on the other side of things don't you think it would be upsetting. I just don't get a few do and most don't. I am glad I learned my lesson and cleared things up with Joe but I still wounder why is it still this way. The Sick card has been played to long. My buddy owns a archery shop and if he is to sick to run it he asks someone to watch the store for him and 90% of his business is online. Just my four cents.

I just got in, it is midnight and I'm exhausted.

I've maybe deleted 3-4 threads, period, and only because there were personal attacks - not always addressed at me. I've done the same with other threads that had nothing at all to do with me. That said, I understand it could look bad, so in the future I'll just delete a particular message if it crosses lines and not the whole thread.

I've also never deleted anything that wasn't resolved.

Megostore and the museum are not related except in as much as I host both of them on my server and am one of the four admins here. I also host plaidstallions.com, reproheads.com, didadisplays.com, and a bunch of other stuff.

I'm always striving to do better re: shipping. I sent out 50+ packages before going to Comic Con, (which is where I've been) and have another 20 to send out Monday. Sometimes things do fall through the cracks, and that is my fault, and I am working on making things better. I never expected to get as much business as I have, and have been overwhelmed by it. But shipping and communication from me will get better, I promise you that.
