    Dino warriors

Looking for info on these guys...especially a closeup of the emblem...

    "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

I'm not convinced they ever got made. I'm still waiting to hear of someone who actually owns any of them *and* will post pics.

          Hmmmm....

Wasn't there an attempt to have them remade a few years ago? Someone from the Museum was heading it up; but they copuldn't get enough interest for the company to fire off another run.

I'd LOVE to get some of the heads for customs.

If this is the case, then the carded ones Jason and I have are some really good customs....

            I keeed...

These three carded samples we got from the factory are the only ones I have ever seen... I opened one, thinking we were getting more made, but alas the molds were shot. We were very disppointed that we didn't get to make them. I am not sure they were ever offered in th US, though the cards are all in English... maybe the UK or Canada?

I'll post pix of mine when I get home. They were made on the buff wrestler body. So sad it's a really neat figure that never made it to mass production here...

PS Paul... I'll scan the logo in Hi Res and post

I tried to do a Search on Ebay for these things... Nothing. Is this one of those KnockOff's,.. that you find once in a Million ?

The factory we use as Cast-a-Way Toys at some prevous point in history was the factory for the long defunct PACO. We asked them to make these figures, but they were unable to do so because of the mold condition. They sent us samples from the lines that PACO had originally made, along with pages from the original PACO catalog. As far as I can tell PACO tooled up and was at least at production stage for these, because the carded figures we have are production pieces... How many were released or distributed is a mystery, but I have been dealling MEGO and MEGO KO since 94 and Jason even longer and neither of us has ever seen any more of these...

I've always thought those are some of the best knock offs ever. They remind me of Tomlands. They look cheap and goofy--two of the best qualities a toy can have!

I have Dino Warriors as a saved search on Ebay, and I've never come up with anything. I've always assumed that the ones Dave and Jason got their lucky little mitts on were all that made it out of the factory. Which sucks, because they're cool as hell.
