Robin and Gleek both look very nice to me. Robin has a new head inspired by Alex Toth's version from the show and an all-new costume using gloves like the 1966 Robin figure. Excellent choices by FTC. The cape looks great. It has a cool black lining. Gleek looks like Gleek and has a cloth costume. Doesn't look like his arms are jointed, but I can live with that.
Can't wait to see these versions of the villains. The anticipation for Brainiac, Grodd and Giganta are high for me. Also hope Hawkman is one of the first figures out of the gate since it appears this series is based on the Challenge of the Super Friends.
Robin looks GREAT! Now I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of them. I'm curious how they did his boots though. In the cartoon his boots are more like high tops. Not quite full boots but not the classic leprechaun shoes either. Great potential especially since past figures have had better fitting costumes than the prototypes.
The fact that you can undress Gleek is still a bit disturbing. But that's after seeing the naked monkey prototype. LOL
I'm still hoping Wonder Woman doesn't have molded hair. But if she does, I will probably get a second and switch out her head. Not a biggy as long as the outfit is good.
Also eager to see the head sculpts of the rest of the figures. Based on Robin, I'm impressed so far.
Had to go to Facebook to look at pics---come on guys---start a thread on something-- put a dang pic in the first post, or thereabouts
That said:
Glad I've kept my "Mego-style" purchases to a minimum the past few years.
And why?
'Cause I'm ALL in for FTC Super Friends, baby!
That Robin pic was all I needed to see.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
"No." or "Why?" Pick either This is a thread on a certain subject. Photos needed. Not unwarranted attacks

This is a cool announcement but after such a long wait I was hoping for a bit more. Only one new reveal and an update on an already announced figure. Where is the meat....
The head works surprisingly well in the Mego format with the Toth style. And it is the right size!!!!!!! If this carries through to the actual figure, it looks like FTC is addressing the head size issue. That straight on shot looks good, about the same size as the existing Supe's head. The costume choices look good, too (I am curious about the boots, as neither of the existing Robin boots would work right here). It's not just the standard Robin with a new head, which would have been an easy cost saving move.
I like what I see, and I can't stress enough how happy I'll be if this is how the new heads will be sized in the future. That is the one huge thing (pun intended) holding me back from multiple purchases on a lot of figures, and some major kudos to FTC if they have solved the problem. It means they heard the fans and didn't just give us lip service, they actually fixed it.
As for Gleek, they did a good job on him as well. I'll definitely be getting two, one to keep as is and one to re-do to replace the custom version I made a while back that's right now among the missing.
Only down side: my wallet will be crying if this continues, because if all the SF figures are like this, my bank account is in trouble. The title says "Superfriends vs. Legion of Doom." That's 26 figures (11 Superfriends, 13 Doomsters, and the Wonder Twins), and I seriously doubt I could pass on any of them.
Robin looks awesome!!! I love that the cape is yellow outside and black on the inside and that this cape goes around the front and under the collar. And although I've never liked Gleek, he looks really good and will compliment the set. Just seeing Robin and Gleek reminds me of their scene together in the World's Greatest Super Friends episode "Super Friends Meet Frankenstein" in 1979. I hope I come into some kind of fortune so I can buy all these figures. For the Legion of Doom, I think the Bizarro figure looks close to the Super Friends version. And here's hoping we get Lex Luthor, Brainiac and Toyman. Already anxious to see what they reveal next.
