View Full Version : Mr. Fantastic } Yes,.. He "looks" Stretchey

Hey Guys,
Something I had been Working on. I love Stretchey characters,.. Thought it would be neat to take the "look" to the 8inch Mego Format. So I invented something... I took Russ's small buff torso. Added a longer look to it,.. so it would appear to be Stretchey. Put a Ball joint on the end of it too. I boosted a Hand from the Plasticman Justice figure,.. then made the joints for it like Mego. I got the other hand from a Fantastic figure.

& A work inprogress for the Upper Body }
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/JaRob29/FantasticKit.jpg
So,.. After all that was done ... :yuk: I picked up a Handsome Gentleman Head from Laurie,.. & added a Small neck to it. To give the Neck a Stretchey look. I didn't want to do anything with the Legs,.. I thought with the whole upper body "stretching.. it would be enough,.. Plus He could Stand Better.
Hand Sewn Suit & Leather Makes up for the clothing,.. Legs & Pelvis from Doc. Box Comming soon..., I jumped the gun. :grin: In theroy this "look" could work well for all the Stretchey Characters out there,.. as well as the 5 Different Mr. Fantastic Suits. :wink: The figure over all,.. stands at just under 10inches tall. Just Enough,.. to fit in with everyone. :yes:

Awesome job on the torso and arms. Suit looks awesome too. A perfect fit. He looks too young to have the grey sides. That body would work great for Plastic Man and Elongated Man too. With some arm changes Super Skrull might be possible also. Some really nice stitch work on the suit. It looks great.

I love the way that torso turned out. Very cool and a great contribution to the Custom Mego world. Any chance of making a body that looks like a spiral? ;)

Fabulous, Jason. You come up with some innovations that are so "outside the box" that it is no wonder you are the master of quirky and obscure yet challenging customs!

That looks great! I would love to see what the card for that would look like.
I always thought it would be neat to have the Mego figure have telescoping arms like a type one would find on a TV antenna, but then the elbows wouldn't be able to move.
