Very cool. I always loved how sharp vintage (and vintage style) protos look. Not a ton of joints cluttering up the sculpt.

Don't get me wrong, I love modern toys, but I really love vintage style simplicity too.

Always enjoyed these items. I have seen these shots a few places. Are these your figures?

        Gorgeous. Jaw droppingly gorgeous.

What's the story with these? Look at the subtle wrinkles in Steve's clothing... This was sculpted by the same person who did the Death Squad Commander from Star Wars.

As much as I love ReAction figures, it's subtleties like this I wish they'd achieve in their homage.

I love seeing items like these & the Man from Atlantis protos--wish they'd been made.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I thought these were the recent SMDM 3.75" figures at first, but now realize they're unreleased vintage protos.

            Very nice!

You can see how the Kenner aesthetic carried over into all the Star Wars and even Super Powers and M.A.S.K. lines.

Was a tad too old to enjoy SMDM toys when they came out but in the 80's when I started collecting would have been all over these

Hmm too bad the Funko re-action line didn't work out some magic to get these prototypes digitally scanned for their release (or did they?)

Funko didn't do the SMDM, Zica did.

                        Love those!

Kenner might have had a hit on their hands if these would have been produced. Though, they had the great and extensive 12 inch line. So, maybe these would have been a bit anticlimactic if the would have been released at the time.

Rampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?

The impetus for that scale for Star Wars was the ability to sell vehicles and playsets. I wonder what Kenner had in mind for these little guys in terms of playsets or vehicles.

kenner did the ssp vehicles with a 3.75 inch steve and bigfoot figures with limited articulation sitting in vehicles.
