Wild Wild West- James West- Marx Figure & Box (Non-Mego)

Another collaboration with Wes McCue over at Classic Plastick....

The James West "Wild Wild West" Marx Figure and Box:

This was originally going to be produced by Marx but the project was scrapped and James West and some of his accessories were canabalized and transformed into Sam Cobra, Johnny West's badguy.

Figure and all accessories by Classic Plastick, box & instruction sheet by The Toyroom. The box is inspired by one of the earlier Johnny West designs and the instruction sheet is a reworking of the one from Sam Cobra. One of my favorite projects that I've had the pleasure of working on.

Great looking box, but you also made the instructions? From scratch? Very impressive, looks just like the real deal

No...the instructions were pieced together utilizing elements from the Sam Cobra instruction sheet, as many of the accessories are identical. The layout is different though and the images of James West (photo and line drawing) are new from Wes' figure.

Now thats Neat Stuff. I love how the actual custom figure is used for the art on the box.

Fantastic...your box makes the toy look even better than the toy itself. Love it.

I don't even like Marx figures and I want one of those! Outstanding work!

That's really nice! Does the hat come off? If so, does JW have that huge pompidore? Does that tiny gun that slides out of his sleeve sound like a cannon when it's fired?

Seriously. That needs to be a spotlight figure!
                        Hey! Check out the pictures.

                          Very sweet custom. Nice job.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Ya know I'm not sure about the hat...but he does have the hidden belt derringer, boot heel derringer, exploding cue-ball, rifle barrel cue-stick, dynamite, infra red googles and a bunch of other cool western/spy related accessories.
