Megos AHI Remco and More in Silent Night Deadly Night 5!

So I was watching this masterpiece this evening...

And holy mother of pearl, did this movie feature the greatest toy store ever committed to film! Mickey Rooney, playing store owner Joe Petto (Get it?) had THE greatest selection of Mego, Rack Toys, and vintage goodies I've ever seen.

Yes, Mego-heads, I watched Silent Night Deadly Night 5:The Toy Maker, so you don't have to!

Let's take a tour, shall we?

Ah, the first shot of the store, and it's a winner! I spy with my little eye a Super Powers Plastic Man, some carded AHI POTA Parachutists, a 12 inch Mego Pizer doll, Remco Dracula and Phantom mini monsters, and a Bendable Stripe figure from Gremlins! So what are those other unidentified rack toys? I don't know!! Maybe some of you can help identify them!

Just look at the vastness and wonder at the sundries that lie within:

Oh look by the door! It's a Charlies Angels Angels' Beads Rack Toy! And another Rack Toy I can't quite I.D. Battle of the Planets? Land of the Lost? Not Sure.

Okay, there's a lot going on here.

Hey, is that a loose Mego Superman?

Wish those "actors" would get out of the way.

Oh, that's a little better, thank you!

Let's imagine being able to choose from these delights: A 12 inch Mego Arcturian, a Mego Buck Rogers Draco, a Mego Star Trek the Motion Picture figure (I think it's Ilia), a King of Cartoons Pee Wee's Playhouse figure, an Imperious Leader from Battlestar Galactica... But I think my vote goes to the Spidey and Hulk motorcycle with sidecar! Wowzers! See those carded figures on the peg below the Spidey Cycle? Can't quite tell what they are. I thought I might have seen some orange stands like Comic Action Heroes, but that could be my (admittedly hyperstimulated) imagination.

    Time to cash out now.

Oh, wait, Mickey! I think I'll take that AHI Spider-man motorcycle also!

Oh, and Star Wars fans, don't think we've forgotten about you!

There's no mistaking that Power of the Force Imperial Dignitary, Droids Kez Iban, and what looks like a Trilogo R2-D2!

Thanks for shopping at Petto's Toy Store!

If I had any money left, I'd pick up that Batman Rack Toy and GI Joe Comic.

So there you have it! Anyone see things I missed or couldn't I.D.? The amazing thing is, this film was made in 1991! I was a poor college student then, with zero disposable income, but if I could've found a toy store like this, I'd have lost my mind. I hope you all enjoyed this bit of photo fun. In all honesty, the film wasn't that bad. It was actually better than most of the films in the series, but yeah, the toys were the best part.

Wow, great job cataloging all of this! I commend your dedication to your hobby. Sitting through a bad 80s horror film just for us.

Oh, I think the Batman thing in that last screen grab is an air-freshener.

^Ah, excellent! Unfortunately, even the Batman air freshener can't mask the stink of this film. (Actually, it's not that bad, but not as awesome as the cover art suggests.)

It looks there is a nice Action Jackson piece hidden in the back under the shelf with the Arcturian on it.

There's a Super Powers Lex-Soar 7 in between that Spidey/Hulk cycle and the Delta Probe. It's probably still collecting dust on that shelf.

This is like Where's Waldo. Andy, you found Waldo, but we all keep seeing more and more! Thanks for posting!

In the first grab , behind the mother and boy, I think I can see a One Million BC figure over shoulder. And that may be a Mattell Horshack figure from Welcome Back Kotter.

Also- on the top shelf with the Spidey/Hulk cycle, that may (and I am far from sure) be the back of one of those flying shields. I can't remeber the real name, but they had Batman and Superman on round "shields" that could be shot, spinning into the air.

It could be! Certainly looks the part. I wonder...
