I've used it for some flat stuff, but I could never make it work well for heads. Not enough detail it seems. But maybe I've used it incorrectly. Also, the Smooth-On stuff seems to be a little cheaper in the end.

I"ve used a silicone putty from Smooth-On called PO-YO putty which seams very similar.
The only problems I had with it is that because it is a thick putty any air bubbles trapped against the surface of the piece your copying are gonna stay there. you can avoid bubbles by using regular silicone mold material and brushing it on the surface, then after that cures, you can back it up with a jacket of the mold putty. A bit more work but well worth the time.
        Hope this helps,
